Chorus' network

We’re already laying thousands of kilometres of fibre optic cable throughout the country to deliver high-speed broadband to homes and businesses like yours. It's one world-class network open to all.

In fact, we already have years of experience in taking fibre to homes in new subdivisions of 50 sections or more. We’ve connected 2,500 sections nationwide and have a further 2,200 underway.

We’ve connected 2,500 sections nationwide and have a further 2,200 underway.

We’re also a step closer to fibre to the home in most towns and suburbs too. As you read this, we are working to bring fibre closer to homes through our biggest ever network upgrade. With the programme more than halfway done, more than 1 million New Zealanders are today within reach of high-speed broadband. Find out more >

We have the experience to deliver a massive infrastructure project. We can also incorporate the fibre and ducting we have already installed into an end-to-end fibre to the home network, meaning we can make the most of what has already been built. See how it could work >

Our national approach means individual regions benefit from a network that uses the same technology and works seamlessly. It will be robust. We are committed to building networks for the long term, so we’re putting fibre and ducts underground to reduce the visual impact on local communities and make sure the network is better protected over time. Not only will it last well into the future, it will also be flexible enough to adapt to customer demand and new technologies as they emerge. The future of telecommunications is exciting. And we’re onto it.
