Fibre installations during COVID-19 lockdowns
With Northland, Auckland and parts of Waikato moving to Alert Level 3, Chorus will resume work on non-essential fibre installs with strict adherence to safe working practices. This includes pre-screening calls, the use of PPE and a requirement for the customer to be in a separate room while the fibre installation is carried out. Installs continue as usual for the rest of the country, also adhering to safe working practices.
We're planning to withdraw the copper network in some streets where fibre is available. Find out if your home or business is affected and how to stay connected to broadband and phone services.
