We maintain and build a network predominantly made up of local telephone exchanges, cabinets and copper and fibre cables. Around 1.8 million lines are connected to homes and businesses throughout the country.

Chorus has finished work upgrading a number of broadband cabinets in various rural regions, meaning more local residents can now benefit from better broadband services.

Chorus today submitted its response to the Government's Registration of Interest on the second phases of its Ultra-Fast Broadband (UFB) and Rural Broadband Initiative (RBI) programmes and the Mobile Black Spot Fund.
