At Chorus, our goal is that every New Zealander has access to fast, reliable broadband. That’s not just about laying new fibre cables through the country, it’s about upgrading our copper technology too.
The good news is, we’ve just completed an upgrade at nearly 10,000 properties, and if you’ve received a note from us in the post, then your place is one of them.
Although you’re still on a copper connection, an upgrade at your local telecommunications cabinet means there is now fibre running from the telecommunications exchange to your local cabinet. For you, this means a faster speed and consistent performance, even at the busiest times of day.
The upgrade means you’ll now experience ADSL2+ speeds. If your modem is over five years old, we recommend getting a new modem as this can affect broadband performance.
