Bringing fibre to your property
To connect properties in a shared driveway or private road to our fibre network, we have to do some build work in areas that are shared by multiple residents. We need to notify your neighbours of this planned work and, in some instances, we may need them to give consent before getting started.Find out more about getting consent here
Build the fibre from the street
We build fibre from the street along your driveway according to the plan provided with the notice to your neighbours.+
Our ABC fibre installation process for ROW
When the work in your driveway is complete, we can connect you. For this part, our standard ABC fibre installation process is followed.+
Agree on a Plan
We’ll discuss the next steps of the installation with you and agree a plan, including where our equipment will go.
Build your fibre
We build the fibre from the driveway to a small box on the outside of your house called an external termination point. You don’t need to be home but we’ll need to be able to reach you by phone.
We then connect the fibre to another small box called the optical network terminal (or ONT) inside your house. You will need to be home for this visit as we’ll be working inside.
