I’ve received an invoice from Chorus for network damage – what does this cover?

The details of the charges will be detailed under the Description section of your invoice.

The following is a list of the types of charges you may see on the invoice:

  • Site Visit fee – The cost of sending a technician to the site (charged per day)
  • Labour costs – Cost for technician to identify the location of the damage, gather necessary materials, repair the damage and carryout any other work to restore services.
  • Materials cost – Cost of material required for the repairs
  • Council fees – For permits, required approvals, traffic management cost and costs to reinstate public footpaths and/or roads.

Please note that your invoice will not include any GST, as GST does not apply to repairs of this nature.
