Who do I ask about getting fibre?

If our broadband checker shows fibre isn’t available at your address (because your street wasn’t  delivered fibre as part of the UFB programme) Chorus may still be able to lay fibre to your property, but it would need to be a “customised installation”.

Custom installs are funded privately as part of a price on application process and can be very expensive, depending on the proximity of your location to existing network and infrastructure. If you can, it’s worth considering sharing the expense with other neighbouring properties who’d like to get fibre.

Alternatively, if a customed installation is too expensive or not practicable, it may be worthwhile looking at the range of satellite and wireless broadband services now available.
