Are faults common on copper?

Like all infrastructure, there are occasional faults on our copper network but they are relatively infrequent. On average, a copper broadband connection on our network experiences a fault once every five years and these usually take less than 24 hours to repair. If you’re experiencing more frequent faults, there may be something else wrong with your line. We recommend calling your broadband provider to discuss what’s happening. They’ll let us know so we can investigate.
