Our build categories
The work we do will fall into one of three categories depending on the impact it has on the surrounding property. If you or one of your neighbours has ordered fibre, you should have received an information pack detailing the work we need to do in your building or shared driveway, including which category that work is classed as.
Category 1
Installation will have a minimal lasting effect on your property or shared area. We will have given you at least five working days' notice before we can get started.
Category 2
The work we need to do may have some physical impact on the shared areas of your property. In some instances, you can lodge an objection.
Category 3
The build methods used could have a greater impact on the shared areas of your property. We need consent before we can get started.
Lodging an objection?
If you have any concerns with the planned fibre build on your property, and the work has been classed as a category 2 build, you can lodge an objection to the proposal on limited grounds.

If the work proposed at your place has been classed as a category 1 build, or you disagree with our decision regarding a category 2 build objection, in some instances you are able to take the matter further via a third party disputes resolution process. More information can be found here.
