Fibre installations during Covid19 lockdowns

Due to the current lockdown alert level 4 lockdown in Auckland, Chorus is only carrying out fibre installations and prioritising faults in these areas in the event of medical emergencies and for properties that either don’t have broadband or need broadband for the delivery of essential services or home education purposes.

All other existing fibre installations or planned network work is being re-scheduled in these areas. Please talk to your service provider for further details.

For the rest of New Zealand, fibre installs and fault repairs are being carried out as usual but with strict adherence to safe working practices. These includes pre-screening calls, the use of PPE and a requirement for the customer to be in a separate room for any work carried out at a private property.
